Creative Arts Diploma Level 1

The Creative Arts Level 1 programme is a broad-based course designed for those who are interested in performing and visual arts. The course will enable you to gain confidence and familiarity with the skills, knowledge and understanding necessary to engage successfully with production arts activities. You will develop a repertoire of core skills through working on integrated projects with opportunities to design posters, props and costumes in addition to developing your personal strengths in performing arts, music, media and/or production arts.

As well as contemporary practice, you will develop an understanding
of contextual research used in art, design and media activities and the wider Creative Arts.

The course also provides a great opportunity to gain pre-employment training in the creative and cultural industries and is supplemented by GEM and GAP activities to develop employability skills and enhance your progression to Further Education or to employment.

You will study English and maths as part of the course and will have opportunities to participate in live project briefs and work experience.
