Kaitlyn Brand, Sport Level 3

"I like that the programme involves coursework and practical work, like coaching in schools. I have progressed from Level 2 to Level 3, and this wouldn’t have been possible without the help of the tutors."

Liam Bearder, Sports Coaching Development & Fitness Level 3

"I really enjoy coaching as apart of my course - especially with school children. There are lots of ways to make the most of your learning, we have Spring Lane which is great for outdoor sports."

Jessica Bird, Sport Level 3

"I enjoy using the high-quality equipment. The performances are very beneficial to my progression. Tutors are always keen to help and keep us well informed. The campus is always calm and a good environment to learn in."

Anita Beauclerk, Sport Coaching and Development

"I chose to study here as it allows me to focus on one subject. There’s a good mix between practical and theory, and it is mainly coursework based. The careers office and tutors were helpful when making my decision to go to uni."

Emily West, Sport Level 3

"I really enjoy the individual topics that make up the course, along with the physical activities; such as teaching primary school children new sport, learning sports massage and learning a new sport that I haven’t played before like handball."

Lucy Hudson, BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Sport

"I chose Colchester Institute because I prefer learning in a practical way and wanted to learn about how the body works. I like being able to complete coursework without having to worry about exams."
