Vocational Courses

Colchester Institute offers a range of vocational qualifications available to adult learners, including NVQs, City and Guilds and BTEC Diplomas.

Vocational courses are training programmes which focus more on practical work than examinations. A vocation is a particular skillset required in different types of jobs and our vocational course programmes prepare learners for vocations in a number of industries.

If practical assessments and coursework assignments are more suited to your skills or your preferred method of learning, rather than exams, then a vocational programme may be the best route for you. Many of our vocational courses are available full-time for adult learners whilst others can be studied on a part-time or day-release basis.
