Getting Ready to study Electronic Engineering

In order to be best prepared for your next step we think it is beneficial that before you come on to this course that you try to get to grips with some basic fundamentals within your course that you have chosen to study.

As an Electronic engineer it is necessary to understand how to read an ammeter and voltmeter for performing tasks so it would be of great benefit to understand how to read these correctly. Below is a great video that may help:

Another key element within our faculty of Engineering is of course safety and certain key health and safety at work acts, with this in mind it would be advantageous if you could frequent yourself with the various safety signs and the various laws and legislations within Engineering (for example the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974). For the theory aspect of the course there is a big element of understanding how engineering businesses work and function and employing the use of business improvement techniques such as: Lean, 5S, Kanban and Just in Time (JIT).
