If you own a sophisticated camera and only use it on ‘auto’, this is the digital photography course for you.
Based at The Minories Galleries on Colchester High Street, we will spend the morning on basic photographic theory in order to produce better pictures. You will learn about all the technical stuff in a nice casual way. So don’t be afraid. Moving on we discuss a set of image composition methods to get you ready to take better photographs. After a short lunch break it will be hands-on. We will be heading into town and Castle Park to take photographs. As a team, students will have to complete a set of creative tasks engaging with core photographic applications including Landscape, Architecture, Street, Portrait and Close-up.
We will end the day at The Minories Galleries summarising the learning outcomes of the day. Please bring your digital camera ready with enough battery power and sufficient memory available. Pen and paper to take notes.
