Church Road, Clacton Campus‎

The Church Road, Clacton Campus, just off the sea front, is only a five minute walk from the town centre. The railway station is nearby and there are bus services in and out of Clacton from the surrounding villages.

The campus was completely refurbished in 2000 making it a modern, clean environment in which to study. There are classrooms, IT suites and salons for Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy, Business, Computing and Administration, general and continuing education. In 2003, a new Construction Craft Centre opened, to provide specialist facilities for Plumbing and Electrical Installations. The Church Road, Clacton Campus offers students a pleasant and modern learning environment, complete with a Student Centre for learning resources, books, videos and computers. Media equipment can be borrowed to assist students with project work. Student Services can offer help and advice on an appointment basis. Drinks, snacks and meals are on sale at the Campus Café or through vending machines. There is a Student Common Room with TV, pool table and table-football, as well as other quiet areas for relaxation. Hair and beauty salons are open to the public and students, offering a range of treatments at discounted prices. In 2008 the Clacton Learning Centre was opened offering outreach online learning. The complete campus is a non-smoking facility.

Transport and Parking

There is an inter-site bus from the Church Road, Clacton Campus that departs at 08.05 promptly with stops and pick up points thereafter, from Clacton DSS bus stop, London Road (near Litchfield Close), Frating - crossroads bus stop and Elmstead Market - Kings Arms.

Student parking is limited to disabled spaces only, however spaces are available around the campus on the surrounding roads.

There is a bicycle shed available.
