Plumbing NVQ C&G Diploma Level 2

The NVQ Level 2 plumbing and heating qualification is designed for anyone who wants to become a plumber or domestic heating engineer. It provides all the basic domestic heating and plumbing training you need to start work in the industry.

Level 2 will suit you if you have some relevant plumbing and heating knowledge and skills, Completed Level 2 6035 or 8202 or other AO equivalent with skills scan

Who is the course for?

This course is designed for adult learners aged 19 years or over whom have been working within the plumbing industry and wish to gain a recognised plumbing qualification. It is essential that you are either employed or self employed and are covered by Public Liability Insurance.

Course Content

City & Guilds has developed a process to assist experienced workers currently working in the industry. This enables the candidate to achieve the practical element of the combination unit(s) by submitting evidence of work activities from his/her workplace.

This comprises of mandatory units, including:

  • Apply safe working practices in building services engineering working environment
  • Install and maintain domestic plumbing and heating systems

Completion of the portfolio work will allow you to gain full qualification as a Level 2 Plumber and heating engineer.

What Can I Do Next?

Successful completion of the Experienced Worker Practical Assessment (EWPA) results in a Level 2 Plumbing NVQ Diploma, which is a requirement of the CSCS scheme to access commercial site work.
