This Plumbing NVQ Level 2 course is an occupational competence qualification for people who already have relevant plumbing and heating knowledge, skills and practical experience and want to gain a recognised qualification that formally demonstrates their competence.
Level 2 is suitable for learners with relevant plumbing and heating knowledge and skills. Previous qualifications such as the City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Plumbing Studies (6035), Level 2 Technical Certificate in Plumbing (8202), or an equivalent qualification from another awarding organisation may provide exemptions from parts of the NVQ, subject to a skills scan.
The qualification is designed to develop and assess the occupational skills and knowledge required for plumbing and domestic heating work.
This course is not intended as a beginner’s route into plumbing. You should already have relevant plumbing knowledge, skills and practical experience. If you’re aged 19 or over and are looking to start a career in plumbing without previous experience, take a look at our part-time evening Level 2 Plumbing Studies Diploma, which provides a suitable starting point for developing your plumbing knowledge and skills.
