Advice for College Students

Start this September!

We are still accepting applications across our further and higher education provision.

Year 12 Students

If you have finished your first year of College and are looking to switch from A levels to a vocational programme such as a BTEC or NVQ, or move onto the Level 3 Accounting AAT (Fast Track) which requires an AS/A Level or equivalent as a pre-requisite to entry, but haven’t applied, then you will need to book an advice session with a course tutor.

Generally BTEC’s have a more vocational and practical focus, which may be more suitable for what you want to do after you finish your studies, with many students finding this a learning style they prefer.

Advice sessions are by appointment only and bookings will open at 10am on Thursday 20th August.

What do I do next?

If you wish to attend an advice session then you must book in advance.

Anyone turning up at the campus without having booked an appointment will not be allowed to enter.

To ensure social distancing you will only be permitted to bring one guest with you. Please stick to this to prevent the need to turn your guests away. Unfortunately, you will not be able to bring additional children to the appointment.

Bookings for advice sessions will be available from 10am on Thursday 20th August. As soon as bookings have opened, you will be able to use the appointment calendar to book an advice session.

On the day you will need to bring evidence of your GCSE results with you.

Please ensure that you arrive 10-15 minutes before the start of your scheduled appointment in order to sign in.

Face coverings are required when you are inside any building on campus.

If you are exempt from wearing a face covering please bring proof of your exemption..

Due to the circumstances surrounding this years event, if you arrive late we are unable to allow appointments to overrun and you will only be able to discuss your options for the remainder of your allotted time.

If you turn up after your appointment was scheduled to finish or miss your appointment, then you will have to book a new appointment, which may not be on the same day depending on demand.
