Apprenticeship Awards 2025

Apprentices from Colchester Institute celebrated their achievements at the Apprenticeship Recognition and Awards on Thursday 20th November.

A total of 85 apprentices attended the ceremony, held at the JobServe Community Stadium, alongside employers and training partners who have supported their journeys. The celebration reinforced the importance of apprenticeships in building a skilled workforce and strengthening community partnerships.

The afternoon featured certificate presentations, awards recognising individual successes, and opportunities for apprentices and employers to connect and share experiences. A highlight of the event was the keynote speech delivered by local MP Pam Cox, who spoke passionately about the importance of apprenticeships and her work within government to champion this education pathway.

Amanda Drew, Director of Apprenticeships at Colchester Institute, said: “We had an incredible afternoon celebrating the achievements of our apprentices at our very first Apprenticeship Recognition & Awards. It was fantastic to see so many apprentices, employers, colleagues, and partners come together to recognise the hard work, dedication, and professionalism of our apprentices and their employers.

The success of an apprenticeship lies in partnership, where education and industry work hand in hand to develop talent that drives innovation, growth, and excellence.”

Organisers expressed gratitude to sponsors TECNIQ, Cadman Construction, ACS Aviation, and City & Guilds, whose support made the event possible.
