Former Student Cast in Pantomime

Daisy Greenwood, Former Colchester Institute Level 3 Musical Theatre student, has been cast in the 2025 Mercury Theatre Pantomime of Mother Goose. She is Principal Girl playing the character of Gracie Goose. 

Daisy, who studied at Colchester Institute from 2017 to 2019 after completing her GCSE’s at Thurstable school, Tiptree, has a successful career in musical theatre. Recently, she played the role of Abigail Henson in the Jerry Mitchell production of Becoming Nancy at the Birmingham Rep Theatre. 

Daisy Greenwood said, “Colchester Institute gave me the skills and confidence to follow my dream career in musical theatre. After performing on stages around the country, it feels amazing to return to my hometown and step back onto the Mercury Theatre stage – this time as Principal Girl in Mother Goose.”

The production tells the story of Gertie Goose and her daughter Gracie, who are determined to keep their Three-Rings Circus alive against all odds. When a golden egg-laying goose suddenly changes their fortunes, audiences are taken on a heart-warming journey filled with magic, laughter, and unexpected twists.
