Welcome to Colchester Institute EFL Department

Colchester Institute has offered English classes for 40 years, taking students from all over the world.

We offer English language tuition in a friendly and supportive environment. Our staff are well-qualified and experienced. We have a good exam record and excellent facilities for study. The College itself also offers a wide variety of professional and vocational courses.

The EFL department is a member of English UK and is regulary inspected. In our most recent British Council inspection (May 2008), the quality of the teaching was commended with points of excellence. Our students come from many different backgrounds and study English for a variety of reasons - tourism and travel, for business and commerce, for hotel and catering work, for marketing, for science, for college and university examinations, in short for success in their careers.
