There’s also almost £5 billion of funding available to help businesses in the UK. The funding will reward those investing in green technologies to reduce carbon emissions and increase energy efficiency.

In October 2021, Colchester Institute joined many other organisations and colleges in declaring a Climate Emergency. The College is committed to reducing its carbon footprint and increasing the sustainability of how we do everything.

As a college, we are exploring how best to tailor programmes and modules to focus on environmental sustainability. We’re developing new teaching spaces to allow the delivery of crucial new skills in heat pumps, electric vehicles, and renewable energy.
