Salon Studies – Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy Courses

Our Salon Studies courses are delivered by highly qualified tutors with a wealth of experience in the Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy industries and their professional expertise is valued by our students. There are excellent facilities and the well-equipped hair and beauty salons which are open to the public provide a realistic working environment. The College recently opened a brand new studio for the Make-up Artistry study programme.

I’ve always wanted to be a beautician and I love my job. I am very sociable and always work hard to make people feel good about themselves. Besides the friendships I made at college, being able to learn other treatments that I didn’t know existed was very interesting and fun.Abbie Cox - Beauty Therapy Techniques Level 3

The salons are open during term time and offer a wide range of treatments. Salon studies courses focus on the practical skills required for employment in the industry and include introductory diplomas and qualifications in hairdressing, beauty therapy techniques, aromatherapy, reflexology and body massage. If you feel you would benefit from learning while at work, hairdressing apprenticeships are also available. Courses in beauty therapy and hairdressing are also available as part-time study for 19+ adult learners.

"I like that the programme involves coursework and practical work, like coaching in schools. I have progressed from Level 2 to Level 3, and this wouldn’t have been possible without the help of the tutors."
