  • Electric motor types and power electronics
  • High-voltage system architecture and vehicle communication networks
Develop Safe Working Practices:
  • Hands-on isolation and de-energisation procedures for live systems
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols and emergency response drills
  • Risk assessment techniques specific to high-voltage dangers
Gain Practical Repair & Diagnostic Skills:
  • Removal, inspection and replacement of high voltage components

Entry Requirements
  • 3 years industry experience and an awareness of hybrid and electric vehicles.
Upon completion, delegates will receive:
  • A nationally recognised IMI Level 3 Award certificate.
  • Experience in safe EV system isolation, repair and replacement.
  • The confidence to expand their workshop’s services into the growing electric and hybrid market.
