What will I learn?

The Bookkeeping Certificate Level 2 course will cover:

Understand the basic accounting equation and double entry bookkeeping.

Units include:

  • Bookkeeping Transactions (AAT)
  • Bookkeeping Controls (AAT)

How will I be assessed?

You will complete two external computerised exams.

What award will I achieve?

On successful completion, you will get AAT Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Bookkeeping Level 2.

Entry Requirements

This course is for learners aged 19 and over.

Confidence with numbers and English comprehension to level 2 standard. Good problem solving skills and good attention to detail are useful strengths in this area.

Applicants should visit the AAT website and undertake the skills check to ensure that they start at the correct level

What Can I Do Next?

You can progress onto the AAT Level 3 in Accounting part-time or an apprenticeship in Accounting.
