Pre-requisites

The course is open to employees in agricultural settings. A technical interview will be conducted to confirm that the prospective delegate has the necessary aptitude to progress onto the course.

Expiry

Certificates will be issued by BPEC and are normally valid for 5 years.

It is important to recognise that this course has been developed to enable you to work in a location outside of the scope of the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998, to be trained and assessed, to prove competence to carry out gas work solely in the agricultural poultry farm setting where you work. The competence does not extend to offices, spaces or properties intended for residential or domestic purposes, or, commercial premises. Therefore, in any other situations, it is a requirement of the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998 that a Gas Safe registered company undertakes any gas works that are required to be carried out.
