Courses requiring a DBS Check

If your chosen course involves contact with children or vulnerable adults such as Health and Social Care and Early Years, you will be asked to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check once you are enrolled in order to attend placement.

Please do not apply for your own DBS, Colchester Institute will set this up for you. We will contact you in July to start the process.

We recommend that you start gathering your 3 forms of ID as soon as possible. You must have 1 form of Group 1 ID.  Please see the list below:
