OFSTED REPORT March 2026
Following the inspection of our Initial Teacher Education (ITE) provision in February, we are delighted to announce that Ofsted has graded University Centre Colchester with three Strong Standards and two Expected Standards.
Ofsted noted that trainees speak very positively about their experience, describing it as both enjoyable and supportive, while continuously developing new teaching skills and refining their practice through exposure to high-quality teaching. Inspectors also praised the ambitious, flexible and highly relevant curriculum, which supports trainees from a diverse range of backgrounds, including those entering teaching from industry or overcoming barriers to learning.
