Myrtle Munro is a lecturer in in Health and Social Care and teaches the following modules:
The social and political context of Health and Social Care; Safeguarding and Risk; Ethics and Values; Law and Ethics; Mental Health; Domestic Collaboration; Change; Advocacy.
After gaining experience working in residential child care she completed a social work qualification at the University of Edinburgh. After working in a range of adult social work settings in England and Hong Kong, she worked as programme lead for the Approved Social Worker Programme in Essex.
For a number of years, she worked independently as a trainer and in consultancy, specialising in mental health and social care. Myrtle has taught at Anglia Ruskin University before joining University Centre Colchester.
