Clare Rhatigan is a lecturer in Early Years Education and teaches modules in Childhood in society, Looked after children & young people, Children’s rights and Domestic abuse.
Clare has worked for many years in social work, Early Years and education. She has experience of working within education and care as an Early Years practitioner as well as the voluntary sector as a social worker and as a trustee for a charity. She is particularly interested in how theory relates to practice.
Interested in children’s rights, both nationally and internationally: the needs of children in care, the impact of domestic abuse on children, historical and contemporary childhood, the impact of poverty on childhood.
