Dr Catherine Duxbury is a lecturer in Health and Education and teaches a range of modules across the following BA (Hons) programmes: Health and Social Care, Early Years, Education. She is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA).
Catherine joined Colchester Institute in 2009, initially teaching Health and Social Care subjects in Further Education. She also has experience working as a graduate teaching assistant for the Department of Sociology and the Department of Philosophy and Art History at the University of Essex. She has worked as a lecturer at University Centre Colchester since 2011.
Initially qualifying and experience with counselling adults, her practice evolved and with further CPD and expanded to working with young people. Her specific area of interest and experience is working with individuals in care and those affected by adoption.
