There are well-equipped classrooms with interactive technology and specialist computer software including the industry standard Sage 50.

A number part-time Accounting and Financial Services professional development courses are offered, which are most suitable for those already working in a business environment but hoping to top up their knowledge in this field.

The UK has a large financial services industry which offer a variety of roles. You’ll need to be good with numbers and have good organisational, business and people skills in these jobs. Apprenticeships and courses in financial services are designed to provide learners with the relevant training and education required to work within a financial advisory services environment.

Considering an apprenticeship? Many people look to an apprenticeship to gain skills directly in the workplace.

Aimed at those who are involved in accounting, procurement and financial services as their primary work activity and have the ability to carry out a range of routine tasks in their role, anyone aged 16 years and older can study an apprenticeship – there are no upper age limits for apprenticeships.  With our apprenticeships you may be required to attend college at our Colchester campus or in some cases we will visit you in the workplace for your training assessment.

Career pathways may include progression to senior advisory roles. Possible further study and course progression opportunities may include higher education or industry specialist qualifications.

Online and On Campus Apprenticeships

Investment in staff training is key for any successful organisation and apprenticeships offer a great opportunity to upskill your workforce. However, apprenticeship delivery is not without its challenges.

We have worked in partnership with Mindful Education to create a suite of flexible apprenticeships that combine online learning with face-to-face classroom sessions.

Our Online and On Campus apprenticeships have been designed with employers in mind – requiring less time in college than traditional delivery models and minimising disruption in the workplace. This flexible approach means that apprentices can choose how, when and where they want to study.

Online and On Campus – the best of both worlds

Online video lectures are available on demand, and can be viewed from a phone, tablet or computer. Lessons last for around 45 minutes and are accompanied by animations and motion graphics to bring concepts to life. Online study means that apprentices do not need to attend college as frequently as with traditional delivery models.

On campus, apprentices benefit from regular college classes. Experienced college tutors will discuss and reinforce key learning points from online study and are on hand to provide guidance on progress and assessment. Time out of the workplace is reduced thanks to the online learning materials.

This modern, flexible approach to apprenticeship training empowers learners, minimises disruption to employers, and delivers tangible results in the workplace.

Apprentices will attend college once every two weeks and will study online materials during allotted time at work.

Mindful Education’s accounting apprenticeship has been great for our business. The online learning element means our apprentice is able to log on at any time to study, the analytics allow us to easily track and report on the 20% off-the-job requirement. Gabriella Labrum, HR Advisor, Tulip Ltd.
