Writing reports is time-consuming and therefore it is important to get it right. It is vital to create written documents that can be easily read, understood and acted upon.

The Report Writing workshop provides the opportunity to consider the reasons why you write reports and ways that you can ensure that your readers get your message clearly and concisely.

  • List the reasons for writing a report
  • Identify the audience for your report
  • Write a purpose statement and objectives for your report
  • Provide a clear structure to your report
  • Include relevant information in your report
  • Use appropriate language and layout to ensure that your report is clear and that your message is understood by your reader
  • Create a personal action plan for implementation “back at base”

Training method:

During the course, participants focus on their personal learning objectives whilst taking part in exercises and activities to help them consider the issues from a range of perspectives. At the end of all the workshops, participants go away with a practical action plan to put their learning into practice “back at base camp”.
