The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 requires that users of work equipment receive adequate training for purposes of health and safety. This includes training in the methods which may be adopted when using work equipment, associated risks and precautions to be taken. This duty extends to any employee who supervises or manages the use of work equipment. The aim of the Portable Power Tool Training course is to train people in the skills and knowledge needed to achieve the standards of competency to use portable power tools safely and correctly.
