Further Information

This course will be of particular interest to employers, landlords, facilities managers, or anyone in control of premises and with health and safety responsibilities for others.

All employers and those in control of premises with health and safety responsibilities for others have a legal duty to comply with the Health and Safety Executive’s Approved Code of Practice L8.

Where employees, residents, tenants, guests, customers and others could be exposed to legionella, the risks must be properly assessed and control measures implemented.

If you are a landlord and rent out your property you also have a legal responsibility to ensure the health and safety of your tenant by keeping the property safe and free from health hazards (including Legionella). This applies even if you rent out a room within your own home.
