Basic Electrical Awareness

This course will cover the key elements to consider when devising safe working practices for persons who carry out work on or near electrical equipment which needs to be safely isolated. It includes advice for managers and employees who control or influence safe working practices regarding the safe isolation of part or all of an installation for maintaining electrical equipment in the workplace.

  • How to correctly select and use safe isolation equipment
Course Content

Electrical Awareness Training Course Content

  • Hand-outs (including candidate revision questions and feedback)
  • Identifying correct safe isolation equipment
  • Practical demonstrations using safe isolation equipment
  • Assesment of Sale isolation on electrical insolation rig by the candidate

Course Outcome

On completion of the course candidates will receive a certificate of attendance and a signed
assessment sheet by the assessor if safe isolation has been carried out correctly.
