ACCA Knowledge Level Papers

ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) is a highly respected professional qualification, which equips students for a successful career in accountancy. It is a postgraduate qualification, which provides access and exemption to students who wish to pursue their studies at Masters level.

These are blended learning courses with self study materials accompanied with online support and additional 1:1 sessions to confirm progress.

Who are these courses aimed at?

These courses are aimed at:

  • those aspiring to employment – or already employed – in a wide ranging and responsible accounting role in an SME
  • those involved in financial reporting and/or in financial decision-support roles, possibly in supervisory roles in the accounting departments of larger organisations
  • degree level students who has covered financial/economic modules whilst studying and wishes to progress in accountancy
Entry Requirements

Aimed at students who have completed their AAT level 4 with work experience in an industry environment. A membership of ACCA and copy of certificates will be required. All students must register with ACCA prior to starting the course and will be responsible for booking their own exam.

Career Opportunities

Chartered Accounting Status. Successful candidates can progress onto Professional level ACCA papers.

ACCA Accountant in Business (AB)
Course Outline: Introduces knowledge and understanding of the business and its environment

The aim of the ACCA Accountant in Business is to introduce knowledge and understanding of the business and its environment and the influence this has on how organisations are structured and on the role of the accounting and other key business functions in contributing to the efficient, effective and ethical management and development of an organisation and its people and systems.

Course Outline: Develops knowledge and understanding of the underlying principles and concepts relating to financial accounting

The aim of the ACCA Financial Accounting is to develop knowledge and understanding of the underlying principles and concepts relating to financial accounting and technical proficiency in the use of double-entry accounting techniques including the preparation of basic financial statements.
