Horses Brawl is an innovative instrumental duo from Norfolk that has won critical acclaim from the national music press after several live concert appearances on BBC Radio 3 - The Early Music Show and Late Junction. Horses Brawl’s repertoire is rooted firmly in traditional English and early music from Europe, the two performers experimenting with their instruments to create contemporary compositions on guitar, bowed guitar, double-barrelled recorders, crumhorn and fiddle. Taking fragments of early and traditional folk music, the duo creates entirely new pieces - often cinematic and dramatic, the music can be darkly emotional and strangely uplifting. Horses Brawl’s 3rd album was released in early spring 2009.
