Tim Pells and Andrew Allen Classical Guitar Duo

 

The combination of two classical guitars retains all the nuances and colours of the solo guitar whilst adding a greater sonority and textural variety, culminating in an evening of music which is designed to demonstrate both the power and the delicacy of two guitars.

 

Tim Pells and Andrew Allen both come from Canada, Tim from British Columbia on the west coast and Andrew from Toronto in the east. They both came to England in the mid 1970’s to study classical guitar, Tim in London with Hector Quine and Andrew in Manchester with Gordon Crosskey. The duo is based in Colchester where Tim is Head of Contemporary Strings and Andrew is Head of the Centre for Music & Performing Arts.
