‘Cello Duo
Former students of the Centre, Christopher Slatter and Daniel Law have performed together since 2005, giving successful recitals across the region.
Whilst studying with Martin Thomas, Christopher won the prestigious Lay and Wheeler Prize for solo performance. In 2005 he was awarded a scholarship to study with Natalia Pavlutskaya at Trinity College of Music, but decided to continue his studies with James Halsey (Bingham String Quartet). Chris enjoys a busy teaching and playing schedule, most notably with the Scintillo String Quartet.
Daniel studied piano with Francis Reneau and accompaniment with Christopher Roberts. During this time he won the Canon Jack Award for Solo Piano and the Colchester Institute Concerto Prize, as well as performing in masterclasses for Piers Lane and Victor Sangiorgio. Daniel is now accompanist at the busy Centre for Music and Performing Arts.
