WHAT HELP CAN I GET?

Apply now for financial help available if you cannot afford College fees or other course related costs.  You can apply for help with fees, travel, childcare, books and equipment.

16 – 19 Bursary Funds – apply now

  • £500 mainstream bursary for those on low household income
  • £1200 bursary for students who have been in care, care leavers, young people receiving Income Support and disabled young people on ESA and also receiving Disability Living Allowance

19+ Adult Learner Support Funds – apply now

  • £500 bursary for those applying for first full level 2 or level 3 qualification and on a low income

Access to Learning Funds

Under current government legislation Hardship Funds have been established to provide discretionary support to certain categories of student. If you think your financial circumstances may prevent you from attending a full-time or part-time higher education or sandwich course, then you may be eligible for financial support from the Access to Learning Fund . Further information can be obtained from the Student Finance Adviser at Colchester Institute.
