Information Technology Facilities

Colchester Institute has an extensive modern computer network with around 1000 computers and over 100 laptops available for student use. All students have their own personal accounts with Internet access and email. Students can access their email and the College Portal from outside the campus.

The network is equipped with up-to-date word processing, spreadsheet, database and graphics applications software. In addition, some areas have specialist software available such as AutoCAD, Sage Accounting, QuarkXPress and Photoshop.

Many areas of the College have interactive whiteboards to enhance the learning experience.

Wireless technologies are currently being deployed in some designated areas with further growth anticipated in the near future.
