An Early Years Practitioner is found in a range of private and public settings including; full day care, children’s centres, pre-schools, reception classes, playgroups, nursery schools, home based provision, hospitals, social care settings, out of school environments and local authority provision to deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) requirements set by government for the learning, development and care of children from birth to 5 in both indoor and outdoor environments.

Stepping Up offers individualised full-time Study Programmes for 16 – 19 year old students for whom English is a second language. The Colchester Institute English Language department is a nationally recognised ‘centre of Excellence’ and provides a welcoming environment for all.

We offer French language courses at four different levels from beginners through to improvers plus. Each course runs for 10 weeks, with learners able to progress onto the next level upon successful completion of the previous stage.

Hospitality supervisors work across a wide variety of businesses including bars, restaurants, cafés, conference centres, banqueting venues, hotels or contract caterers. They provide vital support to management teams and are capable of independently supervising hospitality services and running shifts.  The hospitality supervisor apprenticeship is built to develop a successful team member into a Specialist Team Leader or Management role.

The overall purpose of the Junior Animator’s role is to create animated assets and content, producing the motions, gestures, expressions and performance of two or three dimensional characters and inanimate objects depending on the directors and/or employer’s wishes. This apprenticeship supports and develops careers found in the British and International animation industries, providing animated content for film, television, advertising, games, corporate and immersive reality.

This Masters course is designed to improve existing educators from a variety of educational levels to prepare for middle management and the NPQH programmes by producing work relating to a series of modules that they can study.

We offer Microsoft Office Word and Excel Training Courses for groups of staff who require training. These courses can be adapted to suit your business needs and requirements, and can be delivered off-site on an in-company basis.

The Procurement and Supply Apprenticeship is aimed at existing or new members of staff in the procurement and supply chain sector. This qualification is great for anyone starting out in the sector. Through the apprenticeship, you will develop the knowledge to understand demand management, arrange supply logistics and implement new contracts.
