The courses are developed in partnership with employers locally, nationally and internationally to ensure that the programme match today’s standards and the needs of tomorrow.
Colchester Institute is a college of Further and Higher Education and is part of the publicly-funded education sector. It is listed on the Department for Education and Skills - Register of Providers. Colchester Institute is a member of the association for accredited english language centres and have been awarded Highly Trusted Sponsor status under the UK Border Agency's Points Based Immigration System.
Colchester Institute has four campuses with the largest being in Colchester, Britain's oldest recorded town, the additional campuses are in Clacton on Sea on the east coast and Braintree. Most of our international students are based at the Colchester campus.
Facilities include well-equipped computer suites, a well-stocked library, which has links to other local and national libraries, fully-equipped recording studios, and of course, extensive IT facilities. All students have an email account with Internet access, which is free and available throughout the working day. Food and drinks are available throughout the day from three canteens and snack bars. Students also have free access to a fully equiped fitness gym and use of a Prayer room.
Colchester Institute has approximately 12,000 students across four campuses, with over 1,000 studying higher education programmes. With good road and rail links to London and the rest of the UK there is easy access to Europe through the ports of Harwich, Felixstowe, Dover and the Channel Tunnel and via all the major London Airports.
