Course Description:

This course provides support, assistance and assessment for building a portfolio of evidence for Team Leading NVQ Level 2. Initial interviews will take place on an individual basis with a generic induction to NVQs.

Course Objectives/Key Benefits:

Based on the national standards of the Management Chartered Initiative and developed in association with the Chartered Management Institute, this programme aims to be the starting point for Team Leaders with a framework for demonstrating their competence and continuing professional development. By the end of the programme candidates will have developed their knowledge of team leading and built a portfolio of evidence.

Who the Course is Aimed at:

The course is for candidates that are leaders or supervisors of a small team of individuals.

Course Content:

Each candidate will work with an Assessor who will visit them in their place of work and assess their skills against criteria for the qualification they are working towards. The Assessor will aid the candidate with the construction of the portfolio and observe them within the working environment.

Candidates will be expected to attend a half day induction onto the Award where they will be issued with a portfolio to help with the construction of their own.

Entry Requirements:

To be in a present or upcoming team leading role. It would be an advantage to hold a certificate in team leading or similar. Although not essential as you will need to demonstrate at interview that you have the commitment and ability to undertake the programme. Have achieved GCSE English grade A-C or equivalent.
