Course Description:
These qualifications set out the nationally recognised standards for learning and development. They have been designed to be used within the learning and development community engaged in industrial and work based training over a wide range of activities.
Initial interviews and induction will take place on an individual basis to ensure that the candidate is working on the correct NVQ for their job role.
Course Objectives/Key Benefits:
Based on the national standards, this course provides candidates with a framework for demonstrating their competence as learning providers and to encourage their continuing professional development. By the end of the programme candidates will have developed their knowledge of training theory and practice and understand the complete training cycle.
Who the Course is Aimed at:
Learning and development practitioners who are involved in developing and assessing the skills, knowledge and competence of learners. Therefore the following job roles in the learning sector for which learning and development is the main purpose or part of their function:
- In-house trainers and training managers
- External trainers, managers and consultants
- Assessors and verifiers
- Managers and supervisors
Course Content:
Each candidate works with an Assessor who will visit them in their place of work and assess their skills against criteria for the qualification. The Assessor will observe them within the working environment and advise the candidate on how to create a portfolio.
Course Progression:
The following qualifications can be undertaken if a candidate becomes involved in the management of personnel providing learning support: Learning and Development NVQ Level 4
