Enables persons who are, or intend to be, Company Directors, to develop a valuable insight into how company law principles and associated legislation operate in civil and criminal law.
Course Objectives/Key Benefits:
On completion delegates will have an awareness of the law as it could affect Company Directors.

Course Content:
- Introduction to Company Law
- The new Companies Act 2006 (where appropriate)
- Classification of Directors
- Directors’ duties, liabilities and responsibilities
- Other issues relating to Directors e.g. the effects of the law surrounding wrongful and fraudulent trading including the implications of the Fraud Act, 2006
- Limited Liability Partnerships compared with other partnership status’

Course Progression:
The Negotiating, Making and Management of Contracts Employment Law.
Training Method:
Seminar and the use of short assignments during the course to resolve practical Company Director dilemmas.
