Course Description:
This course is a practical based programme offering training and assessments for compliance with Part P of the Building Regulations. Part P divides companies (‘enterprises’) into three different classifications depending on the scope of work activities they undertake:
- Level A: can complete all electrical work in domestic premises (usually electrical contractors)
- Level B: can install new circuits
Course Objectives/Key Benefits:
Certification will allow registration with an appropriate validation body such as ELECSA
Who the Course is Aimed at:
- Operatives working at Level B only
- Suitable for persons intending to register under an approved Part P scheme

- Supply installation identification
- Circuit protective devices
- Electrical installation – visual inspection
- Safe isolation
- Pre-work survey and electrical tests
- Exchange component

- Install new radial circuit
- Convert lighting circuit to two way switching
- Install new lighting circuit
- Electrical tests
- Electrical installation certificate

Entry Requirements:
This course covers operatives working at Level B only and assumes some level of competence.
Course Progression:
BPEC Certificate This qualification expires after 5 years and a re-assessment will then be required.

Four days combining some theory with practical work and assessment
