Course Description:
The Centre for Music and Performing Arts runs a wide range of ensembles. These include choir, chamber choir, gospel choir, symphonic wind orchestra, chamber string orchestra, brass ensemble, clarinet choir, sax choir, jazz ensemble and jazz orchestra. Most ensembles will require a brief interview and audition to ensure that you are at the right level of playing, which is approximately grade VII standard. The ensembles meet on a weekly basis during the two higher education seminars, many in the twilight and evenings. Each ensemble gives regular performances both on and off campus. In addition to group work, there will be regular rehearsals combined with personal practice.The Centre for Music and Performing Arts runs a wide range of ensembles. Entry Requirements:
Previous ensemble experience. Sufficient performance skills.
