Level 2 Award in Barista Skills
Course Content:
This course is intended for those who have an interest in producing hot and cold drinks to a professional standard.
It covers a range of coffees, teas, infusions and smoothies; looking at the practical aspects of dispense and developing a knowledge of the commodities used.
The delivery will be split between practical activities and knowledge development. Assessment is undertaken through completion of a short multiple-choice paper in English and a timed practical assessment.
Entry Requirements:
No formal entry requirements, however students will be employed within the restaurant industry or have access to suitable equipment on which to practise between sessions.
