The Award for Personal Licence Holders BIIAB Level 2
Course Description:
This course is ideal if you want to develop your career within a restaurant or bar establishment. The qualification is also a requirement of the Licensing Act 2003 if you apply for a personal licence. It covers a wide range of topics including the roles, responsibilities and functions of licensing authorities within the framework of the licensing objectives, and the role and legal responsibilities of the personal licence holder.
The sessions will be delivered in interactive modules with practice papers taken during the day. A handbook supporting the qualification and all the information needed for the examination will be sent prior to the date. The examination is a short online multiple-choice paper in English only on the same day.
Entry Requirements:
Interest or experience within hospitality and catering establishment. Ideally Level 2 Food and Drink or Bar Service, or equivalent industry experience, and the intention to apply for a personal licence with the local council. Proof of identity will be needed e.g. passport or photographic driving licence.
Assessment:
One day course with an exam at the end of the day.
