International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
Course Description:
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is an internationally recognised qualification and entry requirement for universities. Governments recognise IELTS as a language proficiency guide when issuing visas.
The courses run from September to June, at up to 3 levels, according to ability. 3 hours of tuition per week enables students to fit study into their busy schedules, with the added benefits of outstanding individual student support and enrichment activities.
Studying on these courses will give students the skills, knowledge and confidence to obtain the highest IELTS score possible to progress to higher education.
Course Content:
Tutor-led, interactive and self study input on the skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing.
Entry Requirements:
Minimum English language requirement; B1 (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) or Entry 3 (ESOL Skills for Life framework).
Assessment:
• Regular assignments • Practice examinations • Final exam taken externally
Course Progression:
Students who achieve the appropriate score will be able to attend a university or college in the UK, Ireland, Australia or New Zealand.
