Course Description:
Studying three broad themes, this course examines various issues in relation to how our body functions biologically. The issues are considered in the context of our influence on the environment and how we depend on other organisms in the food chain. Aspects of hygiene and healthy living are also highlighted.
Class tuition is coupled with practical experiments, exercises and discussion. Assessment is through one written theory examination (75%) and coursework to assess your practical skills (25%).
Entry Requirements:
Successful interview and assessment equivalent to grade D GCSE.
