Course Description:
The course develops skills in both spoken and written forms, with a syllabus centred on speaking, listening, reading and writing activities. As well as studying literary texts, including Shakespeare, students will improve all aspects of their written work from spelling and punctuation, to creative and every day composition.
Classroom based study is brought alive through discussion, debate and presentations. Assessments will be through a combination of coursework, oral and written, and by two written examination papers.
Entry Requirements:
Successful interview and assessment equivalent to grade D GCSE.
