Course Description:

The scheme is designed to provide the relevant training and education required to develop the skills necessary for employment in the fabrication and welding industries.

The programme makes extensive use of practical training in our modern fabrication and welding workshops, where students acquire the skills to operate fabrication and arc welding equipment.

The programme will provide all the underpinning knowledge required to complement the practical skills required for this level.

Delivery is through a combination of classroom lectures and tutorials, workshop practice and demonstrations.

In addition students will study at least one functional skill in English, mathematics or ICT as part of their main programme.

Entry Requirements:

Normally a minimum of 4 GCSEs (grades A-D) including English, maths and science and satisfactory completion of interview and course preview.

Certificate in Welding and Fabrication Practice Level 3.
