Course Description:
This course has been designed to enhance the candidates’ motorcycle service and repair skills, knowledge and understanding to level 2.
This programme will provide continued theoretical knowledge and practical skills required by potential motorcycle technicians. Candidates successfully completing all units of study will have mastered the intermediate mechanical skills needed for work on various technical systems and have an understanding of the related technology.
While the qualification is recognised in its own right, it is also directly linked to the achievement of Apprenticeships and provides candidates with the technical certificate portion of an apprenticeships framework.
Practical skills and knowledge delivered by demonstration and practical assignments in the workshop. Theoretical knowledge delivered by classroom tuition, guided assignments, Information Learning Technology (ILT), and personal study.
In addition students will study at least one Functional Skill in English, mathematics or ICT as part of their main programme.
