Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) Level 4
Course Description:
This course provides an introduction to teaching in the lifelong learning sector. It includes Understanding Roles and Responsibilities, Planning and Preparing Sessions, Assessment, Micro Teaching Sessions, Design of a Learning Programme and Production of a Learning/Personal Development Journal. This award can either be stand alone or in preparation for the Certificate in Education (Lifelong Learning Sector)
Most learning will be carried out in group work sessions, where students will be able to learn from the experience of others and contribute their own views on what constitutes effective learning and teaching.
Entry Requirements:
An initial assessment of each candidate will be made to ensure that the level of the scheme is appropriate. Learners should have level 2 literacy skills.
