Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Lifelong Learning Sector)
Course Description:
This programme is endorsed by Lifelong Learning UK for teachers in the post-compulsory sector, leading to the award of a Postgraduate Certificate in Education in the Lifelong Learning ector. The ualification is taught in conjunction with the Professional Certificate in Education in the Lifelong Learning Sector but with assessment at a higher level. The full 120 credits constitute QTLS for those with a degree in a full teaching role. Tutor input/lectures, group discussion/activities, seminars, self directed learning, student presentations, supervised teaching experience. Assessment is by assignments, portfolio and class observation. Elements of practice are embedded within each mandatory unit to ensure a link to teaching practice.
Entry Requirements:
A degree, Level 2 or equivalent in English and maths, plus a minimum of 100 hours per year of teaching or training in the postcompulsory sector. Successful interview. A CRB check is required.
