Commercial Appliances

In order to work on specific appliances/equipment/pipework, there are various qualifications that can be added onto the core qualification.

The Commercial Appliances Training focuses on ACS assessment in appliances to include: overhead radiant plaque, tube heaters direct, indirect fired heating appliances and boosters.

Course outcome/qualification:

To prove competence on chosen appliances and gain qualification enabling registration with Gas Safe to this effect.

Pre-requisite Knowledge/Qualification

Candidates must currently hold and provide evidence of existing commercial Core or Changeover Natural Gas Safety qualifications:

How to Apply
CIGA1

On completion of the CIGA1 –  Indirect Fired Heating Appliance and Equipment course delegates will be able to service, repair, breakdown and commission indirect fired heating appliances and equipment.

Course outcome/qualification:

Candidates will be qualified to perform the above operations.

Pre-requisite knowledge/qualification:

CODNCO1  Domestic to Commercial Natural Gas Changeover or COCN1 Commercial Natural Gas Safety

CDGA1

On completion of the CDGA1 – Direct Fired Heating Appliances course delegates will be able to service, repair, breakdown and commission direct fired heating appliances.

Course outcome/qualification:

Candidate will be qualified to perform the above operations.

CODNCO1  Domestic to Commercial Natural Gas Changeover or COCN1 Commercial Natural Gas Safety

ICPN1

The ICPN1 – First Fix Pipe Installations course is for those who install or make connections to pipework in excess of 28mm in diameter.

Course outcome/qualification:

Candidates will be qualified to perform the above operation.

Pre-requisite knowledge/qualification:

CODNCO1  Domestic to Commercial Natural Gas Changeover or COCN1 Commercial Natural Gas Safety

BMP-1

On completion of the BMP-1 – Boosters and Compressors course delegates will be able to service, repair, breakdown and commission gas boosters.

Course outcome/qualification:

Candidates will be qualified to perform the above operations.
