Engineering
It is a good time to be involved in a career in STEM subject based employment. (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) There is a recognised shortage of technical ability and knowledge across the country and employers are experiencing real skills shortages. Locally developments such as the Haven Gateway and the Stansted Corridor will compound the problem further. This means fantastic opportunities for our full time students to progress into employment with real career prospects for the future.
We believe that employers need candidates who not only have academic skills but can apply them practically. This means spending some time in our brand new well equipped workshops and specialist teaching areas such as our mechanical engineering workshop, vehicle body repair workshops, vehicle service and repair workshops, electronics laboratory, fabrication workshop, welding workshop or materials testing laboratory learning the processes and skills that are needed in the work place. We place a great pride in our practical resources and maintain them to industry standards and beyond.
As you can see we offer courses over a wide range of engineering disciplines, one of which could be the start of a great career for you?
